A VIRTUAL Christmas market has been hailed as an opportunity to support Cumbrian businesses at a time when they need it most.
Etsy Made in Cumbria Virtual Christmas Market is set to take place from November 28 until the afternoon of November 29.
Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership said: "This is sure to be a brilliant event! Etsy is home to many local artists, makers and artisans.
They said: "A great opportunity to support local business and "Think Cumbria."
The market, which will be available to browse as a live Facebook event, will feature handmade gifts from Cumbrian providers that customers can browse and receive by post.
A Spokesperson for Etsy Made In Cumbria said: "What better way to shop local and find a perfect gift for loved ones at a time when going out shopping isn't currently an option and helping small businesses to survive at the same time."
