A CARLISLE football coaching academy that set its sights on brand new premises after successfully expanding is delighted that plans have been approved.

No Limit 1-on-1 Coaching, a Carlisle-based football coaching and skills development academy, has secured permission to relocate to new premises at Kingmoor Park Central, on the northern edge of Carlisle.

The football coaching school, which was launched in 2017, currently operates at Newtown Primary School in the west of Carlisle, but following its recent rapid growth, the business needed to branch out and look for its own premises.

The academy has secured planning permission from Carlisle City Council to base itself at one of the units at Kingmoor Park.

Teaching young people between the ages of four and 18, the No Limit 1-on-1 Coaching football academy expanded its coaching staff earlier this year from two to four in response to its growth in pupil numbers, which is now more than 150.

Owner, Joshua Usher is delighted plans have been approved and they can now expand.

He explained: “It's great, we're absolutely over the moon. It's something that when we first started that was the dream that we set out to do.

"It's finally happening. At the moment it's a completely empty warehouse and we are looking at having an artificial surface installed to enable to children to play football.

"Also in the future we will look forward to have our own gym studio there."

It is hoped that with the proposed move to new facilities at Kingmoor Park Central, the academy can more smoothly operate in all weathers as an indoor-only facility.

The proposed new home for No Limit 1-on-1 Coaching is spacious enough to allow for multiple training sessions, and an indoor “3G” artificial grass surface will be installed, along with other fitness-related equipment.

"We will be doing one to one training, that we made our name doing," added Mr Usher.

"We will then be offered small group training, in the future we would love to do classes and the same with the fitness side of things."
