An application to turn a popular sandwich shop into a “hot food takeaway” has been lodged.
The proposal has been submitted to Carlisle City Council by the owners of the Snack Shack in Botchergate.
The applicant is listed as a Mr T Ip, from Carlisle.
According to the application form, the hours of operation would be from 5pm to 11pm, from Wednesday to Sunday and would include bank holidays.
One of the nine constraints that the council has listed is the fact that “the proposal relates to land or premises situated within the Botchergate Conservation Area”.
The application was received and validated on Friday.
On Facebook the sandwich shop describes itself. It says: “We sell full English breakfast , breakfast baguettes and rolls, hot cold fillings for baguettes rolls and panini, homemade somosa, homemade pasta lasagna and jacket potatoes.”
