GOOD news as a new bespoke kitchen and bathroom showroom will open in Carlisle early next month.

The Maiden Way Group will open its shop in Castle Street, defying high street pessimism which has seen a wave of recent shop closures.

Owner, Graham Ingledow, said: “I think it is down to us to show customers a bit of confidence, to show them that not everything is doom and gloom.

“I think we have a duty of care to customers.

“It is all about service and technology – if we were to go into lockdown again we could do things virtually.

“Basically we could get to the stage where we don’t even need to see the customer.”

According to the company's website: “It was set up to fulfill the needs of people and companies within the north of England and the south west of Scotland,

“Our primary aim is to deliver excellence to each and every customer that comes into contact with ourselves.

“We pride ourselves on our workmanship along with the ability to organise the biggest or smallest projects right down to the smallest detail.

“We offer weekly and even daily updates to our clients as we believe in bringing you along on the journey that you started when you had a dream.

“Our ability to communicate and project manage an array of jobs gives our customers peace of mind, and delivering on a timescale that suits all parties.

“Our approach to the industry is not only competitive and very well organised we also take the effect we have on the environment very seriously."
