Armstrong Watson is delighted to be continuing to support West Cumbria with a relocation to a new site.

Armstrong Watson Accountants, Business and Financial Advisers has continued its commitment to the area with the relocation of the Workington office to a new site in Cockermouth.

The new Europe Way location offers a more practical and expansive space, providing clients with easy access, all ground-floor level, and free parking straight off the A66.

Armstrong Watson is a firm of accountants, business strategists and financial advisers.

It has a network of 16 offices throughout the north of England and Scotland, with 33 partners and more than 420 team members in a variety of areas.

Armstrong Watson was ranked as the UK’s 28th-largest accountancy firm in Accountancy Age magazine’s top 50 accountancy firms last year

The move to Marvejols Business Park comes after a long search for suitable premises to meet the demands of the growing West Cumbrian office, in line with Armstrong Watson’s continued investment in staffing and ambitious growth plans.

The new site will be home to experts in audit and assurance, accountancy, financial planning and wealth management, tax and corporate finance.

The move comes just two weeks after the firm announced its second-largest intake of new trainees in the county.

Paul Dickson, CEO and managing partner, said: “We have been looking for a new site in West Cumbria for some time and when this property became available it was clear it would be a perfect fit for our growing team and client base.

“As we continue to invest in our people it’s important to invest in the right premises to host them too.”

Richard Askew, West Cumbria lead office partner, added: “We want to offer our clients the best experience possible, in offices which reflect the high level of service and support we provide.

“This new location, with dedicated client hub, state-of-the-art meeting rooms and full disabled access will allow us to meet our growing business and client needs.”
