A MAN who committed an attempted burglary at West Cumberland Hospital is set to be sentenced by a crown court judge.
James Foxcroft, 32, of Birks Road, Cleator Moor, this week appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Workington and admitted trespassing in the resus area of the hospital on July 29 with intent to steal.
He is due to be sentenced in Carlisle on October 19.
On the same day, the court heard, Foxcroft took a taxi from the hospital to his home address then made off without paying the £12 fare.
He also admitted that offence and was fined £40 and ordered to pay £12 compensation.
In a separate case, Foxcroft pleaded guilty to stealing wine, a fajita wrap, a Snickers multipack, a bag of Haribo and a Maltesers chocolate from B&M in Whitehaven.
He was fined £40 for that offence and ordered to pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service along with £8.28 compensation.
