Coastguard rescue teams came to the aid of a stranded dog that had become stuck in mud yesterday.
Annan Coastguard Rescue Team and Portling Coastguard Rescue team were called yesterday morning to the Kingholm quay area by the Belfast Coastguard Operations Centre after a dog, named Bob, had become stuck in deep mud.
Thankfully, the teams were able to safely rescue Bob, who was reunited with his owner.
A spokesman for the Annan Coastguard Rescue Team thanked members of the public who had spotted Bob in trouble, and had done "the correct thing by not putting themselves in danger and dialling 999 and asking for the Coastguard."
