Workington and District Camera Club has kicked off its new season of talk and activities with its first online meeting.

Members took to Zoom on Friday to hear from speaker John Gravett of Lake District Photographic Holidays.

He gave the group an informative talk entitled Working with Photos and showed various ways of editing images using Light Room and Photoshop.

He also showed a selection of his own landscape pictures both before and after processing.

This Friday the club will host a Zoom presentation by two photographers with different takes on the world.

Sue O’Connell and Peter Brisley will present Travels Towards the Edge, covering some of their journeys to less-visited destinations from Isfahan to the Gobi Desert, reflecting their different responses to these shared experiences.

The club usually holds weekly meetings from September to April and these are currently scheduled to take place online until at least the end of the year.

The website also features galleries of photos club members produced to keep in touch during lockdown.
