RICHMOND Swimming Pool is geared up to welcome back children to its Swim Academy.
The pool re-opened for business on July 25 following further easing of lockdown and is now all set to move to a more varied and exciting programme of activities.
The pool has now moved to a new revised and improved pool programme that includes aqua fit, triathlon club and a variety of swimming classes for schools, with after and pre-school provision.
The pool is managed by a local not for profit charity Richmondshire Leisure Trust, which has been working with guidelines from Swim England in order to bring back swimming lessons safely.
Trust general manager Austin Gordon said: "Covid-19 safety assessments, staff training, enhanced cleaning, as well as guidance from industry bodies, have led us to a point where we are ready to return to something close to pre-pandemic."
