Three commercial premises in Copeland have been sold after going under the hammer.
Lakeland Chippy, on Lakeland Avenue in Whitehaven, was sold by Cumbria Auction House for £69,500.
The former chippy and corner shop premises included a two-bedroom flat on the first floor.
The catalogue had said offers would be accepted over £55,000.
The auction company also sold the premises tenanted by Betfred on the town’s Market Place for £34,000.
Last week the former Commercial Hotel in Cleator Moor also went under the hammer.
However, the three-storey property with 15 bedrooms, a bar, lounge and a self-contained flat, was sold post-auction.
It was due to go under the hammer with Pugh property auction and the guide price was set at £55,000. It is not known how much the building was sold for.
