Sellafield has announced it is extending the pause of construction work across its nuclear site.
Initially the firm has announced it would halt construction work until April 8.
But now it has been extended to April 27.
A company spokesman said: "Our pause on construction work has been extended while we continue to identify the key work that needs to continue and which of our key workers and supply chain are needed on site.
"The pause includes all construction work currently being undertaken by the Projects Delivery Directorate and most other project work on-site, with some key exceptions where stopping work could impact on nuclear safety.
"An update will be issued no later than April 23."
