The Eden Project North is now "very likely," according to Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

During Prime Ministers Questions yesterday, Morecambe and Lunesdale MP David Morris used his first question of this Parliament to press the need for Government funding for the huge scheme.

‘Mr Speaker, you being a northern MP like myself would welcome the news that there is going to be more money spent in the North of England," said Mr Morris.

"I want to reiterate that Morecambe needs the Eden Project and would my Rt Hon Friend the Prime Minister like to come to Morecambe and see me and the Eden team about getting the Eden Project back in Morecambe again to Make Morecambe the best place on the face of this earth.’

And in reply, the Prime Minister acknowledged Mr Morris's question and backed the scheme.

"Indeed Mr Speaker the Eden of Britain," said Mr Johnson.

"I’ve just heard from my Rt Hon Friend the Chancellor, that he does indeed Mr Speaker.

"The House should know that the Eden Project is now, thanks to the Chancellor very likely to come to Morecambe."
