A solar panel canopy is set to be constructed at the Lake District Visitor Centre.
The canopy will span six parking spaces at Brockhole, near Ambleside, to power electric vehicle charging points below it.
Plans for the canopy, which will run along one side of the centre’s car park, has been approved by planners at the Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA).
Brockhole, which includes a visitor centre, gardens, Treetop Treks, is one of the county’s most visited attractions.
It is owned and operated by the LDNPA.
