VOTERS will go to the polls for the general election this week.
Five would-be MPs have put their names forward to be elected in Barrow and Furness.
Chris Altree is due to stand for Labour, Loraine Birchall is the pick for the Liberal Democrats, Simon Fell is the Conservative candidate, Chris Loynes is standing for the Green Party and Ged McGrath is running for the Brexit Party.
The election takes place on Thursday December 12 and polling will be open from 7am to 10pm.
