POLICE: Cumbria Police arrested a man on Brisco Meadows, Upperby, Carlisle, just after lunchtime on Friday SUBMITTED PICTURE
A 40-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of burgling a home in Upperby.
A spokesman from Cumbria Police said: "We were called at 11am to a report of a burglary at a property in Upperby Road, which is believed to have occurred overnight.
"We believe that a handbag and cash were taken."
Officers then attended an address in Bristo Meadows, Upperby, and arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of burglary.
No further details about the arrest were disclosed by police.
