A CARLISLE cafe has launched an appeal for information after a 'targeted vandalism attack'.

Workers at Foxes Cafe Lounge, based on Abbey Street in the city centre, arrived this morning (Saturday) to find offensive graffiti spray painted across the windows of their premises.

A spokesman from the coffee shop told the News & Star: "Last night (Friday), our shop was a victim of vandalism.

"Our landlord has had his properties targeted over the last few weeks.

"However, we didn't expect our shop to be targeted as we are a separate entity.

"We are open as usual, the graffiti has been removed and we are ready to carry on offering great service to our great city."

Anyone with information about the vandalism has been urged to get in touch with police.

Those with details should call 101, quoting log number CP-20191130-0060.
