Tackling Cumbria’s growing skills shortage head-on will be the topic of debate at business forum on Thursday (November 7).
The latest Armstrong Watson Business Owner Forum event, ‘Attracting and Retaining Talent through Inspiration, Recognition and Reward’, will take place at Carlisle Racecourse from 8am to 10am.
Delegates will hear from people engagement strategist Shelley Hayward of People Keepers and Grant Glendinning, principal of Carlisle College, on how business culture and training can help attract and retain talent.
Armstrong Watson’s corporate Tax Director, Becky Bowness, will focus on how employee share ownership can help reward talent, while business development and relationship manager, Dominic Gaunt, will give an overview of sacrifice schemes and taxable benefits for employees.
