The Lake District was on top of the world this week at a special event in London.

The English Lake District China Forum hosted the event at the capital's Shard – Europe's tallest building.

More than 100 guests attended to meet 14 exhibitors from the Lake District to network with existing partners and new businesses while showcasing what the region has to offer to international visitors.

Made up of businesses from all over the national park, the forum works together to promote the area to Chinese visitors.

Exhibitors in attendance included Cumbria Crystal, English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues, Lake District Country Hotels, the Lake District National Park Authority, Windermere Jetty Museum of Boats Steam and Stories, Mountain Goat, the National Trust, Reay’s Coaches, Windermere Lake Cruises and The World of Beatrix Potter.

Earlier this year, Windermere Lake Cruises revealed the number of Chinese visitors being welcomed by the attraction had increased by 286 per cent since June 2016.
