An Ulverston firm has been listed among the fastest growing tech companies in Britain.
Online retail platform Fruugo, in Fountain Street, was ranked 24 on the annual Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 league table, which ranks private technology, media and telecoms companies with the fastest-growing sales.
Fruugo has grown its annual sales by 116 per cent over the last three years, and been used by two million shoppers in 17 languages and 32 countries.
The business was originally launched in Helsinki, Finland, in 2008 and bought by its existing directors Dominic Allonby and Darren Naylor in 2012.
Fruugo stocks and stores no products itself, but instead specialises in driving traffic to its website to make sales which are then directly fulfilled by retailers around the world.
Retailers pay a certain percentage per sale and then send the product to the buyer.
