A care company has won a regional award after receiving a raft of recommendations from its clients and their families.

Home Instead Senior Care, in Kendal, which specialises in providing at-home care to older people has been named as one of the 20 most recommended providers in the Home Care Awards 2019.

Co-owner Judy Clay said: “We are thrilled that we have been recognised as one of the top 20 home care providers in the North West, with a review score from our clients of 10 out of 10.

“We thank our clients for taking the time to submit their reviews which play a vital role in helping us to continue to develop our service.

“Every comment is listened to so that we continue to offer the premium service which people expect from Home Instead.”

The award is based on reviews on homecare.co.uk which lists all registered UK home-care providers and publishes feedback submitted by the public.

The reviews covered multiple areas, including staff, care and support, management and value for money.

One of the reviews said: “The experience of Home Instead from the manager, office staff and caregivers is one of a well-run, organised and joined up service.

“My mother-in-law is very content with her care and looks forward to their daily visits.”

Home Instead says it take takes a “unique, person-centred approach to home care” to benefit both clients and the team.

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of homecare.co.uk, said: “Good quality home care is essential as it enables people to stay living in their own homes and retain their independence, with their home care worker often becoming their friend and companion as well as their lifeline to the outside world.

“Home Instead Senior Care South Lakes has shown that it provides high-quality care and we would like to congratulate it on being one of the top home care providers in the North West.”

Home Instead provides a range of services including meal preparation, housekeeping, personal care and companionship.
