Lloyd Motor Group has announced its support for this year’s Cumbria County Tennis Championships 2019.

It is the main sponsor for the community event, which takes place from Sunday, August 25 to Sunday, September 1.

The event has been a core event in the local tennis calendar for the county since it began in 1977.

Held at Chatsworth Tennis Club on St Aidans Road in Carlisle, the event will host 33 separate events from under-eight boys and girls singles to men’s and women’s over-40 doubles, as well as the wheelchair doubles.

Craig Kirkpatrick, head of marketing at Lloyd Motor Group, said: “We are thrilled to be supporting the Cumbria County Championships this year and excited to see the dedication and enthusiasm all participants will bring to both the sport and the tournament.

“It is a privilege to support the county-wide event.”

Lloyd Motor Group was established in 1976 and has eight franchises across 20 dealerships.

The company continues to be owned and managed by the Lloyd family and now employs over 1,100 people.
