Businesses need to use every tool at their disposal to promote themselves.

And no business can afford to ignore the potential audiences that digital media can deliver.

To help you maximise the opportunities of digital media, Cumbria Business Growth Hub is running two workshops this autumn.

They’re free to eligible businesses thank to funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Getting Seen and Shared with Digital Media takes place on Thursday September 19 at Energus, Lillyhall, Workington, from 10am to 4pm.

Digital marketing specialists form DigiEnable will show how you can create engaging and purposeful digital media quickly and without breaking the bank.

They will cover social media content, video, audio and graphics, discuss techniques to make you stand out from your competitors and leave you with practical ideas to boost your bottom line.

That’s followed on Thursday September 26 by Building a Brand on Social Media at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal, also from 10am to 4pm.

This time, the experts at DigiEnable will show how you can truly engage on social media looking at simple methods to increase the effectiveness of your content and examining the usefulness of paid-for services.

Both these workshops have limited availability, with a maximum of 20 and 25 places respectively, so priority will be given to new Growth Hub clients and those needing to complete their allotted 12 hours of free support.

Lunch and refreshments are provided.

To book, email paulm@cumbriachamber.co.uk or call 0844 257 84 50.

These workshops are part of a wider Growth Hub campaign – including grants and other assistance – to help businesses with their marketing.

There’s more information on that here.

The Growth Hub also offers free marketing workshops through the Cumbria Growth Catalyst project, which can assist many of the business that, for one reason or another, don’t fit the ERDF criteria. More information here.

And don’t forget the wide range of paid-for and free courses and workshops offered by Chamber Business Solutions. Click here.
