Keswick hotel Claremont House has sold from an asking price of £725,000.
Originally built in the Victorian era as the West Lodge of Fieldside Manor, the property has six en-suite letting bedrooms, many of which have views of the surrounding countryside. The property also has a one-bedroom owners accommodation and is set in approx. 0.5 acres of landscaped gardens.
Haydn Spedding, associate director of Colliers International said: “The Lake District continues to be one of the UK’s most popular tourist destinations. Moreover, Claremont House is one of Keswick’s most popular and well-located guest houses, meaning it generated strong interest from potential buyers.”
Previous owners Philip and Joy Hirst, who have sold Claremont House to John and Sarah Lucas, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the outcome. John and Sarah Lucas are already enjoying the excellent lifestyle that comes from owning such a lovely guest house in glorious surroundings of the Lake District National Park.”
