A FORMER bank in Barrow is set to go under the hammer.
The former RBS bank in Dalton Road has been put up for auction with a guide price of £82,000.
The building will feature among more than 100 lots in the next North West Pugh property auction at Manchester’s AJ Bell stadium on July 16.
The 4,000 sq ft, three-storey bank was closed in July 2018 as part of a nationwide branch closure programme.
The former bank has D1 planning consent, which enables the building to be used for non-residential purposes and can include for medical or health purposes.
Paul Thompson, managing director of auction house Pugh, said: “These unique and interesting properties often come onto the market via our retail banking clients as they re-evaluate their bricks and mortar assets and expand their digital services.
“With its spacious layout and high-street location, this property has huge potential for redevelopment and change of use.”
