Businesses have just hours to go to submit entries for the in-Cumbria Business Awards 2019.

The deadline for applications for to enter the county’s premier celebration of business is noon on Friday, June 14.

The in-Cumbria Business Awards 2019 boasts a record 17 categories – three of which are new. As well as the Flying the Flag for Cumbria Award, the Best Green/Ethical Business Award and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award have also been introduced.

Editor of in-Cumbria magazine and group business editor for Newsquest Cumbria, Luke Dicicco, urged businesses not to miss their chance to shine.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of entries submitted so far – 2019 promised to be a record year for the awards,” he said.

“We’ve been taken aback by the level of interest, which just goes to demonstrate the high value businesses put on being involved in the awards.

“But we’re always hungry for more entries. Time really is running out, so don’t miss your opportunity. Entering the awards could be the best thing that happens to you this year.”

The in-Cumbria team will be shortlisting for the awards next week before judging takes place across July and August.

Yet again, in-Cumbria has enlisted the support of a high-profile roster of expert judges, which will be revealed, along with the finalists for the categories in the July edition of the magazine, which is due out on July 3.

The winner will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony hosted by news presenter, journalist and author Cathy Newman at The Halston, in Carlisle, on Thursday, November 14.
