Police are investigating an allegation of assault outside a city centre bank.

The incident - which is said to have taken place at about 9am today (June 11) - is reported to have involved two women.

Officers say the incident took place outside NatWest in English Street, Carlisle, and they are now trying to piece together exactly what happened.

The force says no one was injured.
