More than 50 delegates from across the globe will be heading to the Lake District next month, as the Lakeside Hotel & Spa at Windermere hosts the annual conference for the International Association of Maritime Institutions.
The association is UK-based but its members come from as far afield as Europe, Australia, South Africa, the USA and the Middle East.
It provides education and training for the Merchant Navy, towing, fishing and Super Yacht industries, and this is the third year in a row that IAMI has selected Lakeside for the two-day event on May 8 and 9.
Lakeside Hotel’s training manager Lorna Webster has also been chosen as one of the speakers to talk to participants about recruitment and training at a luxury hospitality business.
Other speakers include representatives from renowned maritime organisations like the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
