ROAD resurfacing works will start at three locations during the next month.

Contractors working for Cumbria County Council will start work on the A591 at Bannerigg Farm, south of Windermere, on Tuesday April 23. Work is expected to last for five days and temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

Resurfacing improvements will then continue from the evening of Tuesday May 7 for seven weekday nights on the A591 Market Place in Ambleside from Compston Road to Kelsick Road.

The team will then move to the A6 Sandes Avenue in Kendal for approximately two weeks, again during the evenings.

The total value of the work is approximately £350,000.
