A new interiors boutique has opened in Penrith.

Lakes Living, run by couple Natalie Brass and Andrew Murray-Jones, will stock furnishings sourced from suppliers across Cumbria and Europe.

The pieces have been sourced from as close by as Edenhall to further afield from producers in Holland, Spain and Australia.

Their inspiration for the shop came after the couple started renovating properties in 2014, sparking Natalie’s love of interiors.

Having worked on a number of restoration projects, Natalie’s passion for interior design has grown with every project, she said, where she hand-picked pieces from home decor suppliers around the country.

The couple spotted a gap in the Penrith retail scene and grabbed the opportunity to create a store in the town centre on Cornmarket.

Natalie will head up buying, social media and the day-to-day running of the shop, while Andrew will be developing the online side of the business.

Natalie said: “Andrew and I are so excited about opening Lakes Living.

“Having both grown up and lived in the area, we feel that Penrith is the perfect place to set up the shop.

“Lakes Living will carry an eclectic array of homewares that reflect current interior trends.

“ I hope that by bringing Lakes Living to Penrith, local customers will be able to find unique pieces to help make their home personal, stylish and extra special.

“We believe that the digital side of the business is also a really important part of Lakes Living.

“With the growth of online shopping it will allow customers outside the area to access the shop which is great!”
