A BARROW man has been reunited with his mobile phone after it was discovered near a retail park.
Twitter user Dan Minnican contacted The Mail on Wednesday after he found the phone near to Stollers in Barrow.
The only identifiable feature on the phone was the lockscreen which contained the words 'Phil's phone'.
Mr Minnican asked us to help reunite the phone with its rightful owner using the power of the internet.
We posted an article online to search for Phil, which was shared on our Facebook and Twitter pages, and within 12 hours we had managed to track him down.
Phil's wife Lynn got in touch with The Mail and on Thursday lunchtime she arranged to meet Mr Minnican to collect the elusive mobile.
"She was thrilled and she said he was lucky someone like me picked it up because somebody else might have kept it," the Good Samaritan said.
"He had dropped it getting off the number 3 bus."
