TWO men grabbed a woman's handbag in the car park of a Whitehaven supermarket.
Police are investigating the incident that occurred at around 6.30pm yesterday in Morrison's car park near to the exit with Catherine Street.
A woman was leaving the car park when she was approached by two men who grabbed her handbag from her shoulder and then made off in the direction of the Civic Hall.
The bag was a small canvas shoulder bag containing a purse.
There are two suspects who at the time of the incident were wearing dark hooded tops – with the hoods up.
They are described as being white, of skinny build and around 5ft 11in.
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident should contact police on 101 quoting log 199 of 6th March 2019 or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
