A MAN was found guilty of criminal damage after he damaged a wing mirror and rear door panel of a taxi.

Patrick Lee, 25, of Green Meadows in Blackford, Carlisle appeared before Carlisle's magistrates' court on Friday (FEB 22).

The offence took place on December 23.

Lee pleaded not guilty to the charge on Christmas Eve, but was found guilty by the judge on Friday.

He must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months, pay compensation of £300, was ordered to pay a surcharge of £85 to fund victim services and was told to pay costs of £600 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
