A 26-YEAR-OLD man appeared before court charged with assault by beating, criminal damage and using abusive or insulting words or behaviour.
Aaron Collier, of Church Road in Alston, attended Carlisle’s magistrates’ court.
The charges of assault by beating and using abusive or insulting words or behaviour - which Collier pleaded not guilty to - were dismissed as no evidence was offered.
Collier pleaded not guilty to the criminal damage charge, which related to an incident on June 7 last year, but was found guilty by the court.
He damaged beer pumps and a glass window, causing damage to the value of £365.50.
The court fined him £150, ordered him to pay £150 in compensation, told to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £30 and ordered to pay £300 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
