DRINK and Draw is running at Natterjacks late night coffee shop and art gallery at Ulverston. The joint exhibition is an artistically ambitious venture between two forward thinking drink and draw groups: Barrow's Tally Ho Drink and Draw group and the Natterjacks' equivalent, both formed in 2016. Denny Derbyshire and Tim Leeson are the respective coordinators of the two groups, who wanted to create and promote an all inclusive, non judgemental, accessible platform for beginners and experienced artists alike to work together in their creative pursuits. Drink and Draw runs until March 1, at Natterjacks, Queen Street, open Monday-Friday, 5pm-10pm.

SCULPTOR furniture maker, environmentalist, teacher, poet, photographer, Tim Stead is best known for his extraordinary public commissions such as the much loved interior of the visionary Café Gandolfi in Glasgow; the Memorial Chapel at the Kirk of Saint Nicholas, Aberdeen; and the magnificent Millennium Clock Tower for the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. Tim - who died in in April 2000 - also created the iconic visitor seating in the exhibition space of Barrow's Dock Museum. Best known for his creative use of native woods, The Dock Museum is staging the Sculpture in Disguise exhibition - which runs until March 27 - which explores the relationship between Tim's furniture and sculpture.
