A HOTEL boss who will this weekend welcome a team of the UK’s top Michelin-starred chefs to his hotel has issued a final call over tickets.

Just a handful of places remain for Friday and Saturday’s charity events, which will see the culinary stars take over the kitchens of the luxury Abbey House Hotel and Gardens in Barrow.

Among the celebrity chefs at the event will be Angela Hartnett, Brett Graham, Adam Byatt and Cumbria’s own Tom Barnes, who is chef-patron of Rogan & Co in Cartmel.

The two nights of fine dining are being held to raise money for the Lake District Farmers Armstrong Family Charitable Trust.

Abbey House Hotel and Gardens’ general manager, John Horton, said just a few opportunities remain.

He added: “We have just two tickets left for Saturday’s event on only 16 fr Fridays, so this really is people’s last chance to buy a ticket for what will be an incredible dining experience.

“We have supported the LDF event for three years now and the excitement this year is as palpable as it has been for previous events.

“It’s no surprise both evenings are near sell-outs - after all,how often can you say you have eaten dishes prepared by three of the UK's top chefs all in the same evening.”

The Lake District Farmers Armstrong Family Charitable Trust was established in memory of local businessman and philanthropist, Ray Armstrong, after he died of cancer in April 2013.

Since then, the charity has distributed more than £250,000 to good causes.

This year’s event will be the seventh since Ray died.

On Friday, chefs Brett Graham, Phil Howard and Tom Barnes will be at the kitchen pass as they prepare a series of mouth-watering courses.

They will be followed on Saturday by Clare Smyth, Adam Byatt and Angela Hartnett.

Money raised from the weekend will be funneled into the LDF Armstrong Family Charitable Trust, which through its monthly grant donations will continue in 2019 to provide help and support to people most in need across Cumbria.

Tickets are priced at £100. To book, contact the Abbey House Hotel and Gardens on 01229 838282 or book online at https://www.abbeyhousehotel.com.
