Stallholders can be proud as Barrow Market wins three awards at both national and local level.

The marketing organisation, thebestof Barrow and Furness announced Barrow Market Hall as the winner of three different awards.

At a local level Barrow Market won the Barrow and Furness Business of the Year 2019 Awards. At a national level Barrow Market Hall won the Award in their category, beating off competition from businesses across the country as well as winning a place in the Top 100 Businesses in the UK.

During the campaign, local people were encouraged to show their support for their favourite business by submitting a review of the service they had received by the business. The market received fantastic reviews coming out top.

Lynne Mckenna owner of Lynne's Menswear stall said how "brilliant" it was for the market to win the award for the second year in a row.

Lynne previously owned the candy floss stall in the market for 27 years and so has seen how the market has developed. She also praised the "good atmosphere" that surrounds the market and how much it is on the up.
