More than 100 businesses will attend free sell-out seminars in Carlisle giving them expert advice on boosting their online presence.

Experts from LOCALiQ will give the 110 registered delegates from companies across the district a free digital healthcheck and offer no obligation one-to-one advice at two sessions taking place at The Halston – 10.30am and 2pm – on Wednesday.

While sessions are fully booked, there may be last minute availability. For more information contact julie.whitfield@localiq.co.uk.

LOCALiQ, part of Newsquest Media Group, the publishers of in-Cumbria and newspapers The Cumberland News, News & Star, Times & Star, Whitehaven News, The Mail, Westmorland Gazette and Hexham Courant, gives you access to a network of 200-plus news brands and publications in print and online, an award-winning events division, recruitment platforms and a wide range of multimedia marketing solutions.

Specifically aimed at local businesses, the seminars are for people who like to expand their digital knowledge and cut through the jargon.

Topics will include:

How the marketing landscape has changed
Setting realistic marketing objectives
Multi-channel marketing
Online display – getting it right
Social media – is it right for your business?

Each session lasts roughly 90 minutes and includes free refreshments.

Newsquest sales director Lee Taylor-Craddock said: “Our LOCALiQ brand enables us to have our finger on the pulse of the digital landscape – which is changing all the time.

“I would like to stress to businesses considering attending one of the events, this is purely an informative event and there is no sales element or obligation to buy, so come along, grab a coffee, meet the team and expand your digital marketing knowledge.

“We are fortunate to have the experience right here that businesses can tap into.

“Digital marketing can’t be ignored as the internet is often the starting point for most consumers now. What have you got to lose?”
