FORECASTERS have warned of icy conditions tonight and tomorrow morning.
The Met Office said a yellow weather warning for ice was in place until 11am Wednesday
"Ice will form on some surfaces later Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday, with further wintry showers at times," a spokesman said.
Motorists reported snow had settled on roads around Lindal, Dalton, Askam, Lindale, Newby Bridge, Backbarrow and Bouth.
