Brockbanks Solicitors has welcomed a new member to its team as one of its solicitors has joined a select society.

Claire Lister has worked in Cumbria since qualifying in 2008 and specialises in all elements of family and matrimonial law.

Ms Lister said: “I am delighted to have joined the team at Brockbanks and I am looking forward to a new challenge in my career."

Brockbanks, which has offices in Carlisle, Whitehaven, Cockermouth, Maryport, Workington and Keswick, is also celebrating Josephine Walker's success as she has been awarded full member status of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners.

She joins four other solicitors in Cumbria with full member status of the global association.

Members, who also include accountants and other related professionals, specialise in probate, family inheritance and financial planning for individuals and businesses.

Full members are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience.

Practice manager John Branch said: “We are thrilled that Josephine’s hard work has paid off, and that she now holds the highest accreditation to demonstrate her expertise in her field.

"Having Josephine supervising and leading our private client team at Brockbanks is a clear indication to our clients that their matters will be handled to the highest possible standard and in accordance with globally recognised best practice. We all wish to congratulate her on a job well done."

She is also an accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly.
