A dairy company has said one of its delivery drivers was involved in a road incident, as police continue to investigate the discovery of a man’s body on a city bypass.
Craig Bruce was found in the central reservation of the Edinburgh City Bypass between the Sheriffhall roundabout and the Gilmerton junction on Thursday morning.
The 37-year-old was from Bilston in Midlothian.
A spokesman for Muller said: “We can confirm that one of our delivery drivers was involved in a road traffic incident on the A720.
“We are offering Police Scotland our full support with their investigations and our thoughts are with the family of the deceased.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said inquiries are ongoing and declined to comment further on the investigation.
Detectives have asked for anyone with information to come forward, particularly motorists with dash-cam footage that may be of interest to officers.
