Lancaster Business Improvement District (BID) is looking to recruit a new employee to assist with their social media and marketing campaigns.

The group is to employ a part time marketing and events manager to produce social media campaigns and support local events.

BID manager Rachel Wilkinson said: “The Marketing & Events Assistant role is one that we have been looking to fill for some time, as we realised that social media and marketing initiatives can sometimes get stretched due to fluctuating priorities.

Appointing a new person to fulfil this role will mean that there will be more time available to share good news stories about Levy Paying businesses and will enhance our digital and print communication efforts”.

The successful candidate will work 16 hours a week at the BID office in Lancaster city centre and will assist the BID team delivering objectives set out by the organisation to make Lancaster a better place to live, work, visit and do business in.

Applicants should have experience in marketing events and full training will be given.

Applications close on May 14 with a full job description and application form available from the Lancaster BID website.
