A west Cumbrian digital marketing specialist has been invited to take part in Google’s prestigious Elevator programme.

Charlotte Davies, who works in Lamplugh Road, Cockermouth, where she runs her own eponymous business, has been chosen as one of the 30 top-performing Google Partner agencies in the UK in recognition of results and potential.

She said: “I am proud to be a Cumbrian business, serving a number of local clients, so it is a real coup for me to be able to help put Cumbria on the map for digital services.

"It used to be the case that people would immediately look towards places like Manchester and Liverpool when it came to digital, but there has been a definite movement in recent years and Cumbria is certainly becoming a digital hub.”

The Elevator programme is a Google-funded business coaching programme, which runs for six months. It is led by Robert Craven, who has worked with global brands such as Barclays and Virgin.
