Despite the financial uncertainties of Brexit, 2017 has been a good year for selling farms and rural property in this area with prices remaining much the same as they were prior to June 2016.

There has been a shortage of farms and quality rural property on the market this year and demand has remained high.

This demand is not only from local purchasers, but also from parties and investors from further afield who are looking to relocate from areas where property prices are much higher.

Many parties wishing to relocate to this area are also attracted by the large expanse of open countryside with the Lake District, Northern Pennines and Southern Uplands all within easy reach. We expect this trend to continue in 2018 and beyond.
