Law firm Napthens has expanded its Cumbrian team.

Lucy Benton, commercial property solicitor, has joined its Kendal office as the firm continues to roll out its plan for growth in the county.

Lucy joins from West Midlands firm Lodders where she specialised in landlord and tenant transactions, and joins Napthens to work alongside commercial property partner Kate Mallaband.

At Napthens she will advise clients on a wide range of property matters such as lease issues, and will also handle property portfolio management and investment sales and purchases.

Lucy, of Kendal, joins the team during a period of growth, with the Kendal office recently expanding to larger premises following a year which saw fee income grow 30 per cent.

Mrs Mallaband said: “It’s an exciting time for us in Cumbria, with a number of new appointments in the last 12 months, and new premises which allow for further growth in the future.

“Lucy brings valued experience to the department and will be an important part of the team as we look to continue this growth and ensure clients continue to receive a great service.”
