Cumbrian land agent Katie Hunter is celebrating after achieving a career milestone.
Katie, who works for H&H Michael CL Hodgson, has passed her RICS examinations to join the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Katie, who lives on a beef and sheep farm near Sedbergh, joined the company as an assistant land agent two years ago after gaining a BSc (Hons) in rural enterprise and land management from Harper Adams University.
She said: “I have been working towards becoming a chartered surveyor since graduating from Harper Adams University in 2014 and securing my MRICS status which was aided by the mentoring I have received from the team, here at H&H Michael CL Hodgson.
“They have supported me along the way and I have been given huge opportunities to further develop my knowledge and my career, I am elated that the hard work has paid off.”
She said that as the UK headed towards Brexit, she was looking forward to working with and helping clients across the county. The firm has offices in Kendal and Grange-over-Sands.
Colin Tomlinson, managing director of H&H Land and Property, added: “We have a highly-qualified team of personnel who are at the forefront of the industry and I am delighted to welcome Katie, as the latest MRICS member to our team.
“I cannot emphasise the amount of work and commitment a candidate needs to put towards the exam.
"Successfully completing professional exams, alongside day-to-day work within the business, is a huge achievement and takes an unprecedented amount of time and effort.
"A huge congratulations to Katie, who I know worked tirelessly to achieve this result.”
