Leading Cumbrian chartered surveyors Edwin Thompson has appointed a new residential estate agency manager to its Keswick office.

Paul Johnston joins the company after 25 years in the estate agency sector in Cumbria.

He takes over in Keswick from Stephen Kemp who retires at Christmas after 21 years with Edwin Thompson.

Paul said: “I’m looking forward to working with our current and future clients in the region, as well as managing both the sale of their properties and the well-known and friendly residential department within Edwin Thompson.”

Edwin Thompson, which has six offices and is one of the largest firms of chartered surveyors based in the north of England and Scottish borders, has 138 years of experience.

Matthew Bell, partner in the Keswick office, said Paul's appointment was a further asset to the expanding firm.

“With a wealth of experience and many forward-thinking ideas, his appointment will add weight to the firm’s expansionist policy and commitment to the residential sector,” he said.

He added that Paul would bring fresh ideas and skills to drive the Edwin Thompson agency business forward and meet the challenges of a changing market place

“Edwin Thompson wish Stephen well in his retirement and warmly welcome Paul into the Keswick team, which includes sales negotiators Dawn Branson and Joanna Brand, together with receptionist Sue Atkinson and behind-the-scenes secretarial/admin staff,” he said.
