THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U500I HIGH TILBERTHWAITE) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHCILES AND HORSES) ORDER 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria County Council to carry out highway works and allow bedding in time ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit motor vehicles and horses from proceeding along that section of the U500I High Tilberthwaite, from its junction with the U5032, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 2,500m. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for motor vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the U500I High Tiberthwaite, A593, C5004, U5527and U5032. Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall apply tc vehicles being used in connection with the Works. The Order will come into operation on 31 August 2018 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that the works will take two months and a further two months for the bedding in time of the road, a total of 4 months.
