THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (AS93 CAT BANK, CONISTION, AS084 SUNNY BANK AND LOWICK GREEN, A592 BLAKEHOME
AND A6070 BURTON-IN-KENDAL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out resurfacing works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following lengths of road:-
1. A593 Cat Bank, Conistion, from a point 53m south of its (unction with the U50II Station Road, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 300m.

A suitable alternative route will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the A593, A59I, A592, A590, A5092 and A5084.
Duration: from 16 April 2018 for approx. 5 nights.
2. A5084 Sunny Bank, from a point approx. 900m south east of its junction with the A593, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 1900m.

Duration: from 8 May 2018 for approx. 10 nights.
3. A5084 Lowick Green, from its junction with the A5092, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 300m. Duration: from 8 May 2018 for approx. 5 nights.

A suitable alternative route for the above two closures will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the A5084, A5092,A595andA593.
4. A592 Blakehome, from a point approx. 2km north of its junction with the C5048, extending in a northerly direction for approx. 1.4km.

A suitable alternative route will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the A592, A591 and A590. Duration: from 17 September 2018 for approx. 10 nights.
5. A6070 Burton-in-Kendal, from its junction with the C5085, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 300m.

A suitable alternative route will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the A6070, A6 and A590. Duration: from 4 June 2018 for approx. 5 nights. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and

3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and

4. Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to Cumbria Highways, Busher Walk, County Offices, Kendal, LA9 4RQ (0300 303 2992) quoting reference SL18/6312. The Order will come into operation on 16 April 2018 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that each closure will only be required as detailed above.
