VARIOUS ROADS, AMBLESIDE) (CONSOLIDATION OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS) (ORDER 2003) VARIATION (NO. 3) ORDER 2018

THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS, AMBLESIDE) (CONSOLIDATION OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS) (ORDER 2003) VARIATION (NO. 3) ORDER 2018
1. The Cumbria County Council hereby give notice that on 15 March 2018 it made the above Order under Sections 1,2,19,32, 35, 35A, 38, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 64 of the Road Traf c Regulation Act 1984.

2. The Order will come into operation on 26 March 2018 and its effect will be to: -

(i) Introduce "No Waiting At Any Time" restrictions on parts of Under Loughrigg Road, Ambleside and Steps End Road, Rydal, Ambleside;

(ii) Introduce "No Waiting, 8 pm and 8 am the following da/' restrictions on the east side of the U5532 Under Loughrigg Road, Ambleside;

(NB: The existing "No Waiting 10 am - 7 pm" and "No Waiting At Time restrictions will be removed to accommodate the restrictions proposed in (a) and (b) above.)
(iii) Introduce a "No Motor Vehicles, Except for Access" restriction on the entire lengths of the U5533 Greenbank Road, Greenbank and Castle Field, Grasmere.

NB: Exemptions in the Order will allow access for the conveyance of persons, goods or merchandise to or from premises situated on or adjacent to those roads; for emergency service vehicles, and vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties.

3. Full details of the Order, together with plans showing the lengths of roads concerned, a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order and a copy of the Order to be varied, may be inspected at Information Centre, Market Place, Ambleside LA22 9BS and the offices of the undersigned during normal working hours.

4. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 15 March 2018 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
