THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (THE ROYAL LANCASHIRE SHOW, SALESBURY RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 40 MPH over the following lengths of road in the Borough of Ribble Valley.

i. A59 Longsight Road from a point, 165 metres south of the property known as The Rydings) to the Splitter A666 Roundabout (Petre Roundabout).
ii. B6245 Ribchester Road from its junction with A59 Longsight Road for a distance of 1770 metres in a northerly direction AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibitions, persons will be temporarily prohibited to cause or permit any motor vehicle from proceeding at a speed exceeding 30 MPH over the following lengths of road.
iii. B6245 Ribchester Road from a point 1770 meters north of its junction with A59 Longsight Road to its junction with B6245 Blackburn Road
iv. B6245 Blackburn Road from its junction with Ribchester Road to a point 200 m east of its junction with Gallows Lane AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibitions, motor vehicles, will be temporarily prohibited from waiting at any time, on any day over the following lengths of road.
v. Salesbury Hall Road from its junction with B6245 Ribchester Road, Clayton-Le-Dale to Its junction with Ribchester Road, Salesbury
vi. Ribchester Road, Salesbury, from its junction with Salesbury Hall Road to its junction with Kenyon Lane. AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibitions, motor vehicles, will be temporarily prohibited from making a right hand turn from Chapel Lane onto A59 Longsight Road,  AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibitions, motor vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from proceeding in an easterly direction over the following lengths of road vii. Salesbury Hall Road from a point 340 metres north and west of its junction with Ribchester Road, Salesbury to its junction with Ribchester Road, Salesbury
viii. Ribchester Road, Salesbury, from its junction with Salesbury Hall Road to its junction with Kenyon Lane
AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibitions, motor vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from proceeding in a southerly direction over the following lengths of road
ix. Chapel Lane, Langho from its junction with Old Langho Road to its Junction with A59 Longsight Road , Langho  AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibitions, motor vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from proceeding in a westerly direction over the following lengths of road
x. Ribchester Road, Salesbury, from its junction with Kenyon Lane to its junction with Salesbury Hall Road, Salesbury xi. Salesbury Hall Road from its junction with Ribchester Road, Salesbury for a distance of 340 metres AND FURTHER, during the period of the said prohibitions, motor vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from proceeding in a northerly direction over the following lengths of road
xii. Chapel Lane, Langho from A59 Longsight Road, Langho to its junction with Old Langho Road, An alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the prohibitions shown at vii and viii is via: - Salesbury Hall Road - Ribchester Road (Clayton-Le-Dale) - Longsight Road, - Chapel Lane - Ribchester Road (Salesbury) An alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the prohibitions shown at ix is via: - Old Langho Road - Northcote Road - Petre Roundabout - Longsight Road An alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the prohibitions shown at x and xi is via: Ribchester Road (Salesbury) - Chapel Lane - Longsight Road (eastbound) - Petre Roundabout - Longsight Road (West Bound) - Ribchester Road (Clayton Le Dale) - Salesbury Hall Road An alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the prohibitions shown at xii is via: Longsight Road - Northcote Road - Langho Old Road The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the Royal Lancashire Show 2017 event to take place. The prohibition will be operative from 0600 hours on Thursday 10th August 2017 until 2000 hours on Monday 14th August 2017, or until completion of the event if sooner. The prohibitions shown at vii, viii and ix will be operative from 0600 hours on Thursday 10th August 2017 until 2000 hours on Monday 14th August 2017 The prohibitions shown at x, xi and xii will be operative from 0600 hours on Thursday 10th August 2017 until 2000 hours on Monday 14th August 2017
